"These farm buildings have been falling down for the last 20 years and have become and eyesore to the village. They are potentially dangerous and not exactly welcoming to tourists who visit our historically interesting village."

"I have lived in this quite village for over 50 years and for as long as I can remember the Manor House was the centre of village life. It would be sacralege to build a pastie shop on this site. We can't have just anybody arriving in their droves in cars booming with loud music to buy pasties."
