This website reflects and complements the TV programmes
- Zig Zag Snapshots and Children of World War Two, but has
been designed to be used effectively as a stand alone resource.
The site is easy to use and has many interactive features.
It asks the key question - What was it like for children
in World War Two? The content is divided into three main
areas: Home Life, Rationing and Evacuation.
Using a wide range of ICT skills, pupils can go on an interactive
shopping expedition, view and click on images of archival
sources, and search for different sources using a simple
database.

an exciting website for 7 - 9 year olds. You can explore
streets, people and houses through history. Discover life
during Roman, Viking, Tudor and Victorian times and the
1950's. Compare and contrast these periods of history through
games and activities.

site covers Viking raids and settlement, everyday life,
religious beliefs, myths and sagas and how the Viking period
ended. Included are useful facts, interactive quizzes, activities

The Anglo Saxon Website includes useful facts, illustrations,
interactive quizzes, activities and print-offs. Hild, an
Anglo-Saxon girl from the 7th century, introduces you to
the arrival and settlement of the Anglo-Saxons. Areas covered
are: Everyday Life, Religious Beliefs, Law and Order and
Myths and Legends.

This is a website to support the Key Stage 2 National Curriculum
Topic - The Ancient Greeks. The site focuses on Athens and
Democracy, The Olympic Games, and the city of Corinth. Using

covers political systems, religion, society and Ancient
