I am Arthur Tudor. I was born on 20th September 1486. My parents, Henry VII and Elizabeth of York chose my name deliberately so that I could be a strong and fair King, just like the King Arthur of Legend. My father made peace with Spain, and as part of the deal, it was decided that I would marry Catherine, the daughter of King Ferdinand of Spain and his Queen, Isabella. On 14th November 1501, when I was 15 years old, Catherine and I were married in St Paul's Cathedral. My father, who was not famous for spending money, did us proud on our wedding and we had a magnificent ceremony. We went to live in Ludlow Castle on the border between England and Wales, but on April 2nd, the following year I died, leaving Catherine a widow.
