Changes that occur when materials are mixed, cooled or heated are examined and described. These changes are then reversed if possible and discussed. When the changes cannot be reversed, the resulting new material is examined for its usefulness.
Temperature is introduced as a measure of how hot or cold things are. Evaporation, condensation and the water cycle appear in this section too as does combustion.
